The lake beach welcomes families safely.

An idyllic setting

On the shores of Lake Parentis-Biscarrosse, the beach offers a sandy part and a grass part, where oaks offer a refreshing shade.

A playground, decorated with the pirate ship, symbol of the beach of Gastes allows children to have fun after bathing. The environment is safeguarded, especially with the "hotel of capricorns" to come and discover on site.

The beach is bordered by the bike path and the pedestrian path that allow beautiful walks.

Warning: new regulation of swimming flags

The Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports published a new decree on 31 January 2022 detailing the modalities of application of the new bathing flag regulations. It imposes new signage to be used on beaches and bathing places open to the public, developed and authorized. It thus lays down the equipment to be used to regulate bathing and the procedures for delimiting bathing areas. It thus repealed Decree No. 62-13 of 8 January 1962, which had hitherto been applicable.

What is the meaning of the flags on the beach?

To ensure the safety of swimming on beaches, lakes, rivers or any other bathing areas, there is a very special signage. The color of a bathing flag is associated with a specific message:
